Associate Professor

   I began to learn dance at the age of five under Miss. Xie Ling. After years of training, I completed the dance degree from Music Department,Tainan College of Home Economic in 1985, and became one member of the distinguished Cai Ruiyue Dance Club "Feng Yasong Dance Troupe"in our city.  Later on, in order to broaden my horizon, I decided to go abroad for advanced study. In 1993, I got degree of BFA in dance from The U. of Arts PHILA and MFA of Dance in 1995, at Temple U. During my stay in USA, one thing that made me proud of myself was that I had the honor of becoming a member at Group Motion Dance Co. and then in 1997, I was chosen as the AIR(Artist in Residence) in Paris Art City, France.  In 1998, I came back home and have been a full-time lecturer in the Dance Department of Tainan University of Technology, specializing in dance and choreography. Meanwhile, I am devoted to studying opera, including Peking Opera, Kunqu, Nanguan and Guqin, as well as painting, trying to combine what I have learned with dance motions. With a view to fulfilling my dream as a successful dancer, I make it a goal to have more than 30 related cross-domain performances in one year. However, in 2016,I had a terrible accident , which shattered all my dream.Neverthless, I did not feel discouraged; instead, I began to see life in perspective .  I made up my mind to contribute what I have learned to my country people.  Now, I dedicate most of my time to offering free performances for the disabled people and people in need of help.
